The Art of Princess Mononoke (Studio Ghibli THE ART Series)

This is a compilation of the visual art of the film “Princess Mononoke,” including image boards, story boards, art boards, background drawings, and the film itself, such as the deep forest of gods and goddesses that no man can approach, and the iron fortress-like tatara field.

The book also includes a poem written by Hayao Miyazaki, a layout for the climax scene, a technical explanation of CG cuts by the digital imaging staff, and a production diary by the production desk, which describes the struggles of making the film over a period of about three years.
