Born in Hyogo Prefecture, lives in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts. In 2009, Rairai started the design and production of clothes using vintage fabrics and parts from Europe and America. Delicate and nostalgic embroidery on clothes has attracted attention, and the production of embroidery that can be worn one day at a time is the centerpiece of its activities.
Currently active in a wide range of activities such as selling works at exhibitions, providing works to magazines, kit design, and custom wedding dress production.

This book is perfect for someone new to this type of embroidery. There are mini lessons with clear directions for each stitch. The photos and content are beautiful. I you have a basic knowledge of embroidery supplies, you do not have to be able to read Japanese to understand the directions.
