In this book, the author, who has studied needle tatting lace for over 20 years, explains everything from the basics of holding the needle and thread to tricks for beautiful finishing, using clear illustrations and photos.

The book offers a wide range of project examples and is enjoyable for beginners to intermediate crafters alike.

Needle tatting lace, created using a tatting needle instead of a shuttle, is a historic craft that originated in 19th-century Europe.

It’s easy to start because the basic double stitch is simple to make and can be easily undone if mistakes are made. The craft allows for a variety of thread thicknesses, from delicate lace accessories to woolen shawls. It’s also easy to incorporate beads and pearls, adding to the wide range of creative possibilities.
