A collection of works by Alice Makabe, a popular plant embroidery artist.
The book contains a total of 35 works, including 12 small works such as pouches and bags published in her popular essay “Plant Embroidery and Seasonal Stories” serialized on “Tsukurira, a website for beautiful handicrafts and daily life,” and 23 new works of wreaths and samplers.

From April to March, 12 months of seasonal changes are expressed in embroidery by cutting out flowers, plants, and landscapes. Full-size designs of all the works and instructions for making them are introduced.

The book provides a glimpse of how the artist herself finds subjects in the seasons and how she gives shape to them, and is filled with hints for creating original embroidery works.
The book also includes tips on how to design seasonal motifs, choose fabric materials and thread colors, and stitching techniques, all of which were introduced in the essay.
