Author profile
Mamiko Shiotani
Born in 1987. She graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design, Department of Crafts, Pottery Course. After working at a background art production company, she started creating picture books.
In 2014, she won the 15th Pinpoint Picture Book Competition Excellence Award for “Yaneura Ghost”. In 2018 she made her debut as a picture book author with Sora Kara Kita Koishi. She won the 11th MOE Picture Book Store Grand Prix Newcomer Award for the same work.
Her works include “Yaneurabeya no Ghost” and “The Story of Egg” (The Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) Golden Apple winner).
