The latest wildlife photo collection by world-famous animal photographer Mitsuaki Iwago!

Pantanal, one of the largest tropical wetlands in the world, spreads over the central part of South American continent.
Most of the magnificent wetlands, which are comparable in size to Honshu, are registered as World Heritage Sites as “Pantanal Conservation Area”.

About half a year from October is the rainy season, and the river is flooded, and about 80% of the total area is submerged. Around May, the dry season begins to draw water, and except for the water left in rivers and ponds, it transforms into a steppe. And the rare marshland, which is rare in this world, has 12 kinds of ecosystems and is one of the world’s leading treasure trove of life where various wild animals live.

Mitsuaki Iwago was filmed five times over a period of three and a half years. Including Jaguar, Paraguay Caiman, Capybara, American tapir, capuchin monkey, giant anteater, and various birds and fish.

“Protecting what you want to protect by taking pictures and images” of a wide variety of creatures. It conveys the photographer’s sincere feelings for the global environment.
