Masahiro Sano
He was born in Yokohama in 1932.
In 1964, he began photographing backgrounds in the art department of a television station and started photographing private houses.
From 1985, he produced CG videos for the NY Stock Market Company and over 20 other countries.
His solo exhibitions include “Exhibition of Private Houses in Photographs and Watercolors” at Yoshidamachi Gallery in Yokohama in May 1996, “Hometown Private Houses” at Fuji Photo Salon in Ginza, Tokyo in November 1998, “Hometown Private Houses [From Summer to Autumn]” at the Open Gallery at Yokohama Station West Exit in November 1999, “Hometown Private Houses [From Winter to Spring]” at the Open Gallery at Yokohama Station West Exit in February 2000, and the photo exhibition “Alleys of Private Houses” at Eco Green Tech 2000 at Tokyo Big Sight in May 2000.
His publications include the essay photo book “Seasons of Thatched Roof Houses” (Fusosha) published in 1998. In 1999, he published “Scenes of Hometown: Seasons of Thatched Roofs” in “THE Honen” magazine by the Jodo Shu Ho’on Myoshokai.
