This book is the definitive collection of rare modeling materials from the highly popular series “Heisei Gamera,” one of Japan’s most iconic giant monsters alongside Godzilla.

Coinciding with the announcement of the worldwide release of the anime “GAMERA -Rebirth-” on Netflix, this publication compiles ultra-rare photos from the “Heisei Gamera Series,” which remains immensely popular and is the origin of the anime version.

Focusing on the modeling of the protagonist Gamera and its enemy monsters, the book features over 700 photos from the Heisei-era films: “Gamera: Guardian of the Universe,” “Gamera 2: Attack of Legion,” “Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris,” and “Gamera the Brave.” It includes close-ups of the suits, making-of photos that reveal the modeling process, and many first-time-published images, all explained by the modeling staff from that time.
