Hayao Miyazaki

Animation film director. Born in Tokyo in 1941. After graduating from the Faculty of Political Economy at Gakushuin University, he joined Toei Animation (currently Toei Animation). After leaving the company, he directed his theatrical work for the first time in “Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro” in 1979. In 1984, he published “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”. He participated in the establishment of Studio Ghibli in 1985.
