Osamu Tezuka, the god of manga who celebrates his 90th birthday in 2018. A collection of only door paintings, which is said to have drawn 150,000 comic manuscripts throughout his life.

Mainly recorded on door paintings when serialized in magazines not included in comic books!

It is highly rare as a material, and it is a content that allows you to appreciate Tezuka’s work as art. This sequel, the second part of the two-volume series, includes works from the 1970s, when Tezuka entered the mature stage as a manga artist, to the 1989 year when he regretted his death.

The door picture that is included with the title at the beginning of serial comics and books has been devised in various ways to attract the reader’s attention, such as a bold screen composition, and another attraction of Tezuka’s work is condensed. In particular, the door paintings when serializing magazines are mostly cut out in books, so there are many valuable things that are recorded for the first time in this book. In addition, we have also included a door picture of a book that is currently out of print and difficult to obtain.

Approximately 850 points carefully selected from more than 2000 candidates are recorded, limiting to the existing original pictures. It draws a line from the recently reprinted manga that has been extensively cleaned, and the correction is kept to a minimum. It is posted in. As a result, you can enjoy the true charm of the original picture, where you can feel the delicate brush strokes and breathing of the author along with years of history.

At the end of the book is an interview with Osamu Tezuka’s former manager and the person in charge of managing the valuable original material for Tezuka’s work. From the testimony of the people involved, we will highlight Tezuka’s work style and the feelings embedded in the door painting.
