In commemoration of her 35th anniversary debut, the “Moyoco Anno Selected Works” project has begun. This definitive edition includes the second chapter of [Sakuran], which carefully depicts the world of the red-light district and has also been adapted into a film, for the first time.

This work is a period drama manga serialized from 2001 to 2003 in [Evening] (Kodansha) for female readers. In this selected edition, the elusive second chapter (a total of 3 episodes and 67 pages), specially published in 2005, is fully included in a single volume for the first time.
The latest printing technology beautifully reproduces both color and monochrome from the original manuscripts down to the finest details.
Additionally, the volume includes Edo-period beauty paintings selected and drawn by the author at the end of the book.
