“OTOMO THE COMPLETE WORKS” 1st term, 2nd distribution title. A collection of 15 short manga works released by Katsuhiro Otomo from 1974 to 1976 when he was 20 to 22 years old.
The first recordings of two works, “ONE DOWN” and “Mirror Jigoku”, which is a cartoon version of Edogawa Ranpo’s short story, have been realized, centering on the recording of the book “BOOGIE WOOGIE WALTZ” published by Kitansha in 1982.
There is a phantom last page in the work “There is a voice calling to wake up”, and that page will be released for the first time in this book.
The two books, “BOOGIE WOOGIE WALTZ” and “GOOD WEATHER” published by Kitansha, were distributed only by mail order at that time, and were rarely available at bookstores, so it was difficult to obtain them for a long time.
Such an early work collection will be a formal and complete reprint for the first time in 40 years, including rare works not recorded!
* All in Japanese.
[What is OTOMO THE COMPLETE WORKS?]
Katsuhiro Otomo has created world-class titles one after another and has the face of a creator who is not bound by genres such as manga artists, illustrators, film directors, and scenario writers. “OTOMO THE COMPLETE WORKS” is the author Katsuhiro Otomo himself who overlooks, summarizes, and re-produces all of the various “all works” in chronological order.
