This is a kanji textbook designed for learners who have completed the study of 300 kanji up to JLPT N4 level and are entering the intermediate level.
Rather than learning kanji one by one, this textbook is structured to learn kanji within sentences, allowing learners to understand how the kanji is used in actual expressions. Each lesson groups kanji with similar features, such as only “on-readings,” only “kun-readings,” or kanji with both readings, making the key learning points clear.
The structure is designed to be easy for learners from non-kanji using countries:
1. Each lesson clearly indicates whether the kanji readings are “on-readings” or “kun-readings,” making it easy to grasp the differences.
2. The font clearly shows stroke details like stops, hooks, and sweeps.
3. The text uses slightly larger characters than usual.
4. All kanji not studied in the lesson are fully annotated with furigana.
The separate booklet with a list of N5 and N4-level kanji can be used as a review before starting the main text.
There are also columns and some vocabulary with English and Chinese translations.
Target Level:
1. Learners preparing for JLPT N3
2. Those who have finished learning beginner-level kanji and have entered the intermediate level.
