[4th century – 17th century] Thorough illustration of the structure of European knight’s costume and how to wear it!

Great Helm, Bascinet, Hauberk, Coat of plates, Breast Plate, Milanese Gothic Maximilian style armor, etc.

The names and parts of the typical armors of each period are illustrated.
The background of each period, how the armor was worn, and how it was made are also included.
In addition, the types of horses, harnesses, horse armor, swords, spears, shields, and other armaments that knights rode are also explained in detail.

The book includes detailed breakdowns of a variety of medieval (4th to 17th century), european armour and weapons, which lay the groundwork for designing your own fantasy armour and weapons. There are also some stockphotos for reference and a chapter about horses. The book includes the scientific terms for all objects and their individual parts, as well as some fun facts and historical background information. I recommend it to everyone, who wants to understand armour and weapons and/or wants to design a knight, paladin, armoured warrior etc.
