Hayao Miyazaki visited “nostalgic houses” where the guardian of Tsukamori, “Totoro,” would likely enjoy living, and compiled a book with illustrations and text depicting houses and landscapes reminiscent of the 1950s.

This expanded and revised edition includes new photographs and interviews, along with five image boards of the park “Mr. A’s Garden,” designed by Miyazaki and completed in July 2010.
