Mateusz Urbanowicz Uncollected Works 2010 -2021

A collection of Japanese townscapes and landscapes drawn by the author Mateusz Urbanowicz  of the hit illustration collections “Tokyo Store Fronts” and “Tokyo At Night”, a record of 12 years of his work!

This is a collection of illustrations, mainly watercolors, that the author, who has been expanding his field of activity to include not only illustration works but also animation directing and manga production, has been drawing since around 2010.

The series of works depicting Japanese townscapes and buildings from a unique perspective and with a gentle touch reveals the author’s deep-seated feelings toward Japanese “towns” and his awareness that he is trying to unravel the reasons for his own interest and nostalgia by depicting them and rethinking reality.

This book contains a number of such illustrations along with the author’s notes, and traces the author’s 12-year dialogue with pleasant townscapes and nostalgic views.
