MAEDAX, head of the background illustration school “Assistant Background Bijuku,” presents a completely new resource and guide focused on drawing school backgrounds.

Gathering materials and conducting research on schools can be challenging, often leaving artists unsure of the overall structure and space, or worried that their designs may appear outdated if relying solely on memory. To address this, MAEDAX conducted thorough interviews with school design experts from both a background illustration perspective and a “school moe!!” perspective, compiling the information into this book.
