The 10th-anniversary issue cover of the “ILLUSTRATION” series, symbolizing the ‘now’ of illustration, features a collaborative visual by “tamimoon × Hakuikishiroi.”

“ILLUSTRATION 2024” is the latest edition of the bestselling “ILLUSTRATION” series. It showcases 150 talented artists crossing the Japanese illustration scene, from a variety of pop cultures to the ever-changing internet culture, attracting global attention.

The artists featured in this edition are all new, replacing those from “ILLUSTRATION 2023,” offering a glimpse into the cutting edge of contemporary illustration. The cover of this 10th-anniversary issue, “2024,” features the series’ first artist collaboration.

This unique cover visual is a collaboration between two currently popular artists, “tamimoon × Hakuikishiroi.”

At the end of the book, there are interviews with singer Ado, who has continued to lead the Japanese music scene since her striking debut with “Usseewa,” and art director Keita Mori, known for his edgy book designs. Additionally, the book includes a special dialogue between tamimoon and Hakui Kishiroi, discussing the creation of the book’s cover visual.

Furthermore, the printing of this book employs the latest printing technology, “Brilliant Palette®,” specialized for art collections and art prints. This allows readers to fully enjoy the charm, color usage, and brushwork of each artist’s unique worldview.
