A nice introduction to digitally painting backgrounds. Starts with tutorials on rendering the individual parts found in a background, such as foliage and simple objects, and then at the end of the book are some breakdowns of how the author painted a number of different backgrounds. Also includes discussions on color theory, light and shadow, and perspective. Includes videos of the author doing the backgrounds (no audio), and the PSD files of the finished images.
