Hakoniwa Sekai – Miniature Worlds – Files of Illustrators Who Draw Small Fantasy Worlds

A miniature imaginary world that spreads out in a small space, like a miniature garden or diorama. This illustration collection introduces 26 unique creators from Japan and abroad who depict such worlds.

The collection includes approximately 180 illustrations. Even though they are small, the worlds that the creators wanted to depict are condensed, making them highly impressive. Some works also include explanations by the creators themselves about the worldview.

Not only is it enjoyable just to look at, but it’s also a reference for creation, such as the method of generating a worldview and the detailed expressions to bring out the narrative quality. Enjoy a variety of worlds by various creators, including worlds depicting a longed-for lifestyle, nostalgic yet new retro-pop worlds, worlds combining sweets and food, mysterious worlds like science fiction, and more.
