Eizin Suzuki, who has been active since the 1980s, creates pop landscape paintings using a unique style that segments light and color gradients with lines.

He has designed numerous music album covers, including for Tatsuro Yamashita, and worked on the cover and cassette labels for “FM STATION” for many years, establishing a strong connection with the music scene. With the renewed global interest in Japanese pop from the late ’70s to ’80s, known as “City Pop,” his work has also regained attention, drawing in many young fans.

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1948, he started working in advertising design around 1971 and became an illustrator in 1980. Since 1985, he has been releasing a series of print works annually. He is a member of the Tokyo Illustrators Society.
