Animation art director and painter. He is a specially appointed professor at Digital Hollywood University. Aichi Design College Super Advisor. Born in 1974 in Nagasaki. He joined Studio Ghibli in 1999. Established Inspired in 2009.

He has been involved in many animation works including “Spirited Away” ,”Howl’s Moving Castle”, “Ponyo” “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” and “Made in Abyss”. He will be working on the screenplay for the live-action film “Kagura Bell Rings”.

    It’s a good book to learn how background are made. I love the technique on walls and floor which are very difficult in drawing texture. The step by step is help to build your skills.
