Ayako Ishiguro Picture Book – Nekomatagoyomi

This is a story about a year in the life of a family of five children of a cat yokai, Nekomata, by Ayako Ishiguro.

The story is about a year in the life of a family of five cat monsters, Nekomata’s quintuplets, who were newly born this year. The story progresses along with their growth. A year of fun and laughter, similar to but slightly different from that of other people, is introduced through detailed illustrations in one spread per month. Many seasonal plants and foods also appear.
