A collection of beautiful specimens and explanations of 83 rare gemstones and minerals from around the world, focusing on “coexisting minerals.”
In nature, most minerals fundamentally exist in “coexistence.” The stunning, art-like forms created by the coexistence of two or more minerals reveal stories of their growth that could not be understood from individual specimens alone. They also provide clues to understanding the “formation environments” that give rise to these minerals.
