Showa signboards, local product logos, handwritten stickers, traces of letters on roads and walls … As you walk around the city, you’ll find letters with unique textures that computer fonts don’t have.
Characters that have endured the wind and snow, created by the handiwork of famous and unknown designers and the people of Ichii.
The author looks at these characters on the street and bridges them to the present day with humor and wit.
Introducing a large number of carefully selected nostalgic and new street characters collected from all over Japan.
A collection of characters that are interesting to look at and fun to read!
