The collection contains over 200 rare materials including flyers, posters, print advertisements, illustrations, and wrapping paper from the early Showa period.
Cafes, bars, fruit parlors, and western goods stores lined the streets of the Taisho and early Showa eras, when urban culture blossomed. The city was filled with advertisements and posters, and design, the connection between people and things, was expressed in an exuberant and youthful manner.
