Masayoshi Nakajo
(1933-2021)
Graphic designer.
1956 Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Design. In the same year, he joined the Shiseido Advertising Department. In 1959, he joined Takashi Kono’s Desca Co., Ltd.
He became freelance in 1960 and established Nakajo Design Office Co., Ltd. in 1961. He is involved in corporate sign planning, graphic design such as CI planning and posters, package design, and illustration.
He has won the TDC Member Gold Award, ADC Member Highest Award, Yusaku Kamekura Award, Mainichi Design Award, Japan Advertising Award Yamana Award and many others. He received the Medal with Purple Ribbon and the Order of the Rising Sun.
