Ayako Shikata
Textile designer and illustrator. She majored in visual design at Kanazawa College of Art and Craft. Afterward, she worked as an apparel designer for a women’s apparel brand, and after transferring to Nemoorimono Co., Ltd., she became a furisode designer. In 2008, she became a freelance designer and started the design studio MIRU PRINT in Shinagawa, Tokyo. She is engaged in a wide range of design production, including textiles for apparel and traditional Japanese clothing, as well as illustrations for books and packaging.
