Japan Typography Annual 2023

More than 400 works selected by the 14 judges of the Japan Typography Association are posted.

Entries will be accepted from all over the world, and judges selected from members and the previous year’s Grand Prix winners will conduct a rigorous screening process to select one “Grand Prix” award from among all entries, as well as a “Best Work Award” for each category. The “Jury’s Prize” is awarded to works or authors that are highly evaluated by the committee members from their individual perspectives.

You can get an overview of the latest trends in typography in 11 categories, including VI, logotypes/symbols, graphics, books/editorials, research/experiments, and students.

Interviews with the Grand Prix winners and part of the production process of the best works in each category are also posted. The 22nd Sato Keinosuke Award, individual category winner Shin Sobue’s award-winning words and works are also posted.
