Author profile
Daijiro Ohara
Born in 1978 in Kanagawa Prefecture, he graduated from the Basic Design Department of Musashino Art University in 2003. Centered around typography, he engages in graphic design, illustration, and video production. Additionally, through exhibitions and workshops, he develops projects that explore new perceptions of words and letters.
His recent projects include the typography series “Mojuryoku,” themed around gravity, a series of graphics “Ryosen” reconfiguring mountain photographs by Takashi Homma and mountaineering maps, and the auditory description performance “TypogRAPy” in collaboration with musicians Shuta Hasunuma and Jun Kamoda. He has received awards such as the JAGDA New Designer Award and the Tokyo TDC Award.
