Yukimasa Okumura
He is an art director, graphic designer, and painter, born in 1947 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
In 1970, he participated in the establishment of WORKSHOP MU!!, creating numerous record albums for artists like Happy End and Sadistic Mika Band.
In 1977, he founded The Studio Tokyo, Japan. (now TSTJ Inc.). He was responsible for the jacket design and art direction for a multitude of musicians including YMO, Kazuhiko Kato, Tatsuro Yamashita, Motoharu Sano, Moonriders, The Checkers and many more.
From the mid-1980s, he began to explore the use of Japanese painting styles and computer graphics.
He has expanded his field to various media, including advertising, editorial, and stage art.
He has won numerous awards including the ADC award and Good Design award. He is a member of JAGDA and Tokyo TDC, and a visiting professor at Joshibi University of Art and Design.
