Author profile
Kayoko Sato
Born in 1963 in Tokyo. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Kokugakuin University, she became an elementary school teacher. Subsequently, she juggled running a cram school, managing a café, web production, and teaching at a vocational school. Since 2008, she has focused solely on running the current online shop Kirara-sha and the café.
Currently, she sells minerals and original goods at the online shop Kirara-sha, and operates the Kirara-sha Café, which doubles as a showroom, only on Saturdays (and occasionally Sundays).
At the café, workshops resembling science experiments and craft classes for adults are regularly held (although many customers are elementary school students).
During summer vacation, she supports independent research projects and conducts activities such as creating artificial crystals and crafts that are not included on the follow-up pages of her publications.
