Author profile
Yuki Fujiwara
Wagashi designer, graphic designer. After working at a publishing company, she studied abroad at an art university in London. Upon returning to Japan, she worked in the advertising and branding industry as a graphic designer. At the same time, influenced by her grandmother, who taught tea ceremony, she turned her attention to “wagashi,” which had been familiar to her since childhood, and began creating wagashi from a designer’s perspective with her unique sensibility. She explores new possibilities for wagashi, unconstrained by traditional boundaries, producing works themed around nature and daily life, as well as collaborations with companies.
