Weaving and connecting with the waste that is overflowing all over the world. Contemporary artist Suzumi Noda’s first collection of works!
Noda creates her works by using discarded industrial materials and consumables such as product tags, plastic packages for medicines, and crests, along with lacquer threads, gold leaf, and Nishijin textiles made with precious traditional techniques.
By using common techniques such as hand-knitting and stitching, she easily transcends the fields of handicrafts, art, and products. Her works created from her unique perspective are pop, cynical and cute. Noda’s works and her writings contain many hints to help her survive her daily life.
