Author profile
Kosuke Ajiro
Born in 1980. An artist based in Tokyo. Graduated from the Visual Design Department of Kuwasawa Design School Night Course in 2000.
He is influenced by myths and fables depicted in ancient civilizations and the European Middle Ages, and often creates works featuring imaginary people and animals. He mainly produces paintings, as well as three-dimensional works and animations based on his own unique stories.
He has presented his works both domestically and internationally. He also provides artwork and book covers, and handles visuals for theater.
Kosuke Ajiro’s books
Tamaki Miyata
Born in 1964 in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. An essayist mainly focused on travel writing. After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at Osaka University, he left a company he worked for nearly ten years and debuted with “The Absurdity of Travel: Agonizing Asia,” which chronicled the overseas trips he took while working at the company. This self-published book went through several editions, and he published his second work, “Southeast Asia Fourth-Dimensional Diary,” through the magazine “Ryokojin,” which won the 3rd Sake-Drinking Bookseller Award. Since then, he has written mainly travel essays, as well as everyday essays and book reviews. He served as a book review committee member for Asahi Shimbun for two years from 2017.
