Ryuji Kamiyama
Born in Tokyo in 1972. Growing up listening to rock and punk since elementary school, teens spend their time immersing themselves in skateboarding.
Started producing silk screen printed T-shirts in 1991, and started developing under the brand “FAMOUZ” in 1993. Designed for all items and gained popularity nationwide as a “Ura-Harajuku brand”, but announced the suspension of activities in 2003, which marks the 10th anniversary of the brand’s establishment.
After that, he started working as a painter / silkscreen artist under his own name. Starting with his first solo exhibition “NEWARD” (2003) held at “depot” in Nakameguro, Tokyo, he will actively hold exhibitions in Japan and overseas, collaboration with brands, and silk screen print workshops.
