HIZUKI

In 1998, he studied under Ryo Yoshida at “Doll Space Pygmalion”, where he now also serves as a lecturer. He has participated in various project exhibitions at Tokyu, Printemps, Maruzen, Parabolica Bis, Geographica, and more. In the autumn of 2006, he created the image doll for the French film “Ecole” directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic, and held an exhibition and published a photo book “Ecole Doll Photo Collection” (published by Asuka Shinsha). In 2007, he held his first solo exhibition “Jamais vu”, and in 2012, published “Hizuki DOLL Photo Collection” (Asuka Shinsha) and held a commemorative exhibition at Shinjuku Marui One. In the same year, he held his second solo exhibition “Sanctuary”. He has also provided works for Sound Horizon’s PV and TV dramas.

He was born in 1952 and is a doll artist and photographer who began his career in the 1970s. In 1983, he established “Doll Space Pygmalion” and has been running a doll workshop. With his rich expressiveness and creative perspective, he has created his own unique doll world. His works are highly evaluated both in Japan and abroad and are exhibited at numerous exhibitions and events.
