Dice Tsutsumi

Born in Tokyo. He graduated from the School of Visual Arts.

He is in charge of concept art such as “Ice Age” and “Robots” at Lucas Learning and Blue Sky Studios.

In 2007, he was invited by Pixar to work as an art director on “Toy Story 3” and “Monsters University”. In July 2014, he left Pixar to found Tonko House.

His directorial debut, The Dam Keeper, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2015.

In 2021, he became the first Japanese to receive the June Foray Award at the American Annie Awards.

He is also the originator of the project “Sketch Travel,” in which 71 well-known artists draw pictures one by one in a single sketchbook and hand it over to travel around the world.
